Sydney Town Hall

In March 2010, ABS designed and supplied a site specific mounting system for the 48 kW Sydney Town Hall project.  The innovative mounting system created a waterproof stable base and eliminated breakage and penetration of brittle and costly heritage-slate roof tiles.  ABS supplied Suntech’s new Pluto modules making it the first installation of these in Australia.

Requirement: To provide a PV solar Mounting System which was economical, light, waterproof and able to prevent damage to the heritage tiled roof of an iconic building.

Problem: Slate tiles were very brittle and expensive to replace.

Solution: ABS engineered, certified, manufactured and supplied a complete bracket and mounting system, including installation methodology and PV Panels which satisfactorily addressed all the items referred to above.
